Sobriety isn’t only about leaving alcohol behind—it’s about creating new rituals that nourish. The comfort of holding a glass can remain, but what’s inside the glass can become medicine, not poison. That’s where my Mock-jito was born: a drink to heal the gut, cool the body, and let joy stay at the table.
This is more than a mocktail. It’s hydration, blood-sugar harmony, digestive support, and a touch of plant alchemy—all in one glass.
When stomach acid runs low, food lingers, ferments, and causes reflux. Stomach acid is not the enemy; it’s the gatekeeper. It breaks down food, protects from pathogens, and signals the LES (lower esophageal sphincter) to stay closed. Without it, digestion falters and discomfort takes root.
The Mock-jito is my way of inviting the body back into balance while keeping the ritual of sipping alive.
